Security Tips
- Password should be at least 8 characters in length and must include 3 of the following:
- One upper case letter
- One lower case letter
- One number and/or
- Ensure that your password is not based on guessable information such as personal information and user ID
- Do change your password regularly or when there is suspicion that it has been compromised
- If you suspect your password or user ID has been compromised, please inform the bank immediately
- Do use a mobile device or computer that you trust
- Do not reveal your password or user ID to anyone, keep it confidential at all times
- Do not use the same password for different websites, application or services
- Please check that when you log into RBC Wealth Management Asia Online Service, you can see a security icon that looks like a lock or key appears when authentication and encryption is expected
- Do inform the bank immediately if you lost your mobile phone or change your mobile number (used for receiving the SMS OTP)
- Do install or update operating systems, anti-virus, anti-spyware and firewall software with the latest patches or newer versions in your computers and mobile devices
- Always log off and clear your cache once you are done with your online session
- Do not use public or internet café computers to access your online banking
- Do not install software or run programs/email attachments of unknown origins
- Ignore any email purportedly from RBC requesting you for your password. RBC will not request clients for their online banking password
